Our Lady of Guadalupe – a title of Mary of Nazareth, who appeared to the Aztec St. Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin on Tepeyac Hill, now within the borders of Mexico City. On the last day of the apparitions, December 12, 1531, an image was created that is described as a "continuous miracle," because the indigenous agave cloth (tilma) on which the image appeared can typically survive for at most 20 years. Since 1999, Our Lady of Guadalupe has been venerated as the Patroness of the Americas. The liturgical feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe is on December 12th.
