Stains on wraps – how to deal with them

Always wash your wrap and carrier according to the instructions on the label. You can follow the advice from the article on your own risk.

Wraps are meant to be used – and stains on them are normal things. However – they can spoil the mood. How to deal with them?

A few basic rules:

  • Never remove the stain in a hurry – it’s better to wait and think how to remove it; Every washing will conserve the stain (if we fail to remove it).

  • Think what has caused the stain and choose a dedicated stain remover.

  • Remove the stain with cool water – hot water can conserve it (especially when it was caused by fruit or vegetables).

  • Put the stain remover on a sponge and “stamp” the stain – try not to rub because you may destroy the gentle fibers.

  • No matter what stain remover are you using – never let the fabric dry with it because there’s a high risk of discoloration; it’s always the best if you wash the whole wrap after stain removing.

  • If the colorway of the fabric is darker – it’s worth testing if the stain remover doesn’t cause discoloration; try it on a small, less visible part of the wrap (for example on the end of the tail).

  • Never use stain removers with chlorine.

Home methods

  • It’s always worth testing if the stain remover doesn’t cause discoloration; try it on a small, less visible part of the wrap.
