The Quality Policy of LennyLamb
From August, 2008, that is to say from the early beginnings of our company on the Polish baby sling market, we have been concerned about the highest quality of our products. Consequently, we are trying to make sure that every component of our baby slings came from reliable sources, and the technologies used in the production processes were safe for children.
We persist in our efforts that our baby slings were better and better. Each new lot of the baby slings is technologically improved. It is a really hard and arduous process, however as a young company we are trying to be in possession of the product which is both cost and qualitatively competitive. At present, we can’t afford some elaborate certificates which only raise costs of the product; however, we are trying to make sure that every component came from reliable sources and were safe for children.
Elastic Baby Wrap Sling
The cotton which we use to make our baby wrap slings has the “Bezpieczny dla dziecka” certificate (“Safe for a Child”). It is the reputable Polish certificate conferred by The Institute of Textiles.
Woven Baby Wrap Sling
Both cotton yarn from reliable sources and dyes have the Oeko-Tex certificate. The processes of finishing fabric are conducted in a way that makes the fabric safe for children (free from formaldehydes and phenolic compounds). We don’t use any chemical baths as well. As a result, we obtain fabric completely safe for children (running the colors in the wash or fabric shrinkage can be side effects.)
All of our products are made in Poland. We meet the criteria of The Fair Trade according to The Fair Trade Federation.

Currently, a weave in all of our woven baby slings is a cross twill weave. This is a kind of fabric which is accepted by all countries as a component of baby wrap slings. Both French and Swiss Associations promoting babycarrying in slings accept only this kind of fabric (a principled yet justified approach.)
Other organizations accept also a Jacquard weave and a diamond weave, which we also hope to introduce in the nearest future.
Composition of our fabrics
Cotton:
Cotton was first discovered over 8000 years ago. At present, it is the most popular fabric in textile industry. Fibers are obtained from the cotton seeds. Their value depends on the length of staples (20 to 55mm) and their homogeneity. Cotton is perceived as skin friendly because it lets in air and has special adsorptive properties. It is light and weather resistant, it can be washed and it is durable.
Bamboo fibers (bamboo viscose, bamboo)
Generally, the production of bamboo fibers (bamboo viscose, bamboo) is environment friendly. Bamboo trees which are used to the production of fibers are carefully selected. They come from
ecological plantations located mainly in Tropical Asia. Bamboo grows fast and is easy to cultivate. It occurs in monsoon climate, it requires sun-warmed terrains, rich in groundwater. Nature equipped bamboo with antibacterial properties thanks to which it isn’t attacked by parasites and worms.
Consequently, the process of production is completely safe for environment, and 100% natural fiber without any chemical additions is its result. Bamboo fiber is a kind of processed cellulose fiber which is obtained from the bamboo parenchyma thanks to the utilization of patented technologies.
In the first phase the bamboo parenchyma is obtained through the processes of hydrolysis and multiphase bleaching. Next, it is processed into bamboo fibers. The tests have shown that this fiber is characterized by high resistance and stability. Thanks to its structure, bamboo easily gets rid of moisture, what, even during hot summer months, makes that the baby wrap slings made of bamboo viscose ensure coolness and comfort of carrying. Bamboo fiber has special antibacterial properties and it prevents unpleasant odors.
Thanks to its structure, the material made of bamboo fiber is exceptionally light. Simultaneously, it easily absorbs moisture. Thanks to these properties, the baby slings made from bamboo fibers have the ability to evaporate an excess of moisture. What is more, the material made of bamboo fiber protects against ultraviolet radiation.
